Big Mountain Ski and Summer Resort

Big Mountain is located in the Rocky Mountains of northwest Montana, 32 miles west of Glacier National Park, 8 miles north of Whitefish, and 19 miles north of Glacier International Airport in Kalispell.

With over 3,000 skiable acres, Big Mountain is one of the largest ski resorts in the US and Canada, priced at a significant value to destination and local skiers alike. We offer state of the art grooming, snowmaking, and lifts as well as some of the friendliest staff you will ever meet. We are proud of the positive impact we have on the surrounding community.

We continue to offer free skiing on the 'Village Lift.' Big Mountain Village is a full service alpine village. Winter activities include but are not limited to skiing and snowboarding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and guided snowmobile rentals.

As a summer resort, Big Mountain has the Summit Trail, which is accessible via the chair lift. Other activities include hiking, mountain bike rentals, scooter rentals, shopping, outdoor concerts and ‘Walk in the Treetops.'

Winter and summer, Big Mountain Village has lodging accommodations for every budget. Activities to keep the whole family entertained are available on the mountain as well as in the nearby town of Whitefish.
